Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ScopeRedi website and Smart Renovation Planner at scoperedi.com, operated by ScopeRedi LLC ("ScopeRedi," "we," "our," or "us"), a Minnesota limited liability company. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

ScopeRedi provides a web-based renovation planning tool that helps homeowners define project scope, explore material options, see estimated cost ranges, and optionally connect with licensed contractors. For contractors and real estate professionals, ScopeRedi provides an embeddable planner that pre-qualifies leads on their websites.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use ScopeRedi. By using our services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Cost Estimates Are Informational Only

ScopeRedi cost estimates are for planning purposes only and do not constitute a bid, proposal, or guaranteed price. Estimates are based on national and regional averages, publicly available pricing data, and general industry benchmarks. Actual renovation costs vary significantly based on local labor rates, material availability, site conditions, code requirements, permit fees, project complexity, and contractor pricing.

ScopeRedi is not a licensed contractor, architect, or engineer. Our planner does not replace professional consultation, site assessment, or a formal bid from a licensed contractor. Always obtain multiple bids from licensed professionals before committing to a renovation project.

4. Contractor Matching

When you choose to connect with contractors through ScopeRedi, we facilitate an introduction only. We do not employ, supervise, or control any contractor. While we make reasonable efforts to verify licensing status and credentials, we do not guarantee contractor quality, performance, pricing, or availability.

Any agreement you enter with a contractor is solely between you and that contractor. ScopeRedi is not a party to any contract for renovation work and assumes no liability for disputes between homeowners and contractors.

5. Contractor Subscription Terms

Contractors who subscribe to ScopeRedi agree to the following: the Founding Partner rate of $49/month is locked for the first 12 months from the date of activation, after which standard pricing of $149/month applies. All subscriptions are month-to-month with no long-term contract. You may cancel at any time with no cancellation fee. Refunds are not provided for partial months.

ScopeRedi reserves the right to modify subscription pricing for new subscribers at any time. Existing subscribers will receive 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect.

6. Realtor Subscription Terms

Real estate professionals who subscribe to ScopeRedi agree to the following: individual agent plans are billed at the current published rate ($29/month). Brokerage plans are billed per agent at the current published rate ($19/month per agent). All subscriptions are month-to-month. You may cancel at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ScopeRedi to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, harvest or scrape data from our platform, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our proprietary pricing algorithms, impersonate another person or entity, use automated bots or scripts to access the service, or interfere with the operation of our platform or other users' experience.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, algorithms, trademarks, and branding on ScopeRedi — including the ScopeRedi name, ScopeScore trademark, Smart Renovation Planner, and all associated graphics — are the property of ScopeRedi LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without written permission.

Contractors who embed ScopeRedi on their websites receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to display the planner on their site for the duration of their active subscription.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit through ScopeRedi, including photos, room descriptions, and project notes. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, store, and transmit that content as necessary to provide our services, including sharing your project scope with contractors you choose to connect with.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScopeRedi and ScopeRedi LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our services, including but not limited to damages from renovation decisions made based on our estimates, contractor performance or non-performance, data loss, or service interruptions.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of ScopeRedi shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

ScopeRedi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of cost estimates, or non-infringement.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScopeRedi LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of ScopeRedi, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ScopeRedi shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of ScopeRedi after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes affecting paid subscribers, we will provide 30 days' advance notice via email.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to ScopeRedi at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
